Johnny Powers introduces Farm Family Festival of the Americas
Johnny JP Powers, who recently came back to his family roots with his dad having been a farmer in the Haileybury area. He enjoyed early summers at the Shaw’s farms in Streetsville. JP heads up Black Creek Farms and Creekside West Lincoln Farms on Sixteen Road in West Lincoln, Ontario. Johnny, in early 2009, attended the University of Guelph farm programs to update himself on current farm practices. He’s been exploring the eat local/grow local slow food movements. JP recently video taped a slow food evening last winter of 2008 at Niagara College with his Vision Media crew. Angela Mosca and wife Helen were his guests during the dinner. Johnny Powers will be hosting the get together at Slapshot Willy’s in Beamsville starting at 4:30pm this friday night the 14th of August. JP has invited Bob and Starr Mackie of Mackie’s Mountain Archery to talk about Bob’s recent battles with the establishment. Johnny Powers of Vision Resource Group and Vision Media International, will be announcing to the media this attempt at assisting farmers and their families. Strategies to gather the resources both public relations-wise and financial-wise to continue the farmer’s lifestyle will be discussed.
It’s expected that Don Belmore of Event Management Group will be in attendance, to discuss the use of the new media and the Internet to explain and protect yourself. It is understood that local newspapers from Beamsvile, Grimsby and Niagara Region will be in attendance.
