Manuel of Nashville, who was introduced by Cambridge Jones, to Johnny Powers of JPP Live, was interviewed by phone at the Black Creek Farms of Johnny Powers, by John Wells for an upcoming fall Hamilton Spectator (www.thespec.com ) feature on Johnny Powers and “The Factory”. Johnny Powers, Hamilton’s and possibly Canada’s most international sports celebrity in the 60′s and 70′s, is one of the headliners that outlines Hamilton’s role as “The Factory” that produced over 60 tough guys from the steeltown that covered the globe, fighting and wrestling internationally.

Manuel “The Rhinestone Rembrandt” and Cambridge Jones recently debuted the exhibition called Image Makers, which ran in November 2008 at Nashville during the CMA time.

Johnny Powers, a few days after his May acquiring a new hip and a new knee, from world-famous surgeon, Dr Justin de Beers, flew down with his wheelchair and stayed at Manuel’s private 20-acre residence, the world famous Manuel’s Mountain, for 6 days to get closer to his friend.

Manuel and Johnny Powers are collaborating on a couple of projects, chief of which is taking the Manuel brand international. A smaller project that Manuel is entertaining is being the chief costumer and brand design expert on JPP Live’s debut of The Royalty of Pop (www.the-royalty-of-pop.com).

This brainchild of Johnny Powers , who’s been known for the last 40 years as one of the world’s most creative original idea guys, says the project is “starting to get legs”.

Manuel and JP, with Manuel’s team, discussed the possibility of a Nashville, TN debut.
